Starry Night

As I gaze up and wonder, upon the night sky,
I catch a rare glimpse, of a star asking why,

“What makes you seek comfort, and knowledge in me?”

By knowing what lies, within you is unseen,

“What brings you to bare, any hope from my glare?”

The feeling just once, not alone in despair,

“What then do you look for, from me on this night?”

An escape from the dark, and into the light,

“You speak of your troubles, in hope for a cure,
You stare at me blankly, it’s much too endure,
For I’m a mere star, and you born of flesh,
The answers you seek, only you can know best”
